Steven G. Smith is an award-winning photographer/cinematographer located between New York City and Boston. Steven G. Smith is a professional photographer based out of Hartford, Connecticut. Steve's work leans toward an editorial reportage style; he is equally comfortable working on location as he is in the studio. He enjoys photographing people in creative and unique ways. He believes in authentic photography of real life with real moments.
Steve is dedicated to giving time back by teaching in the field that has brought him so much satisfaction. Embracing the convergence brought about by the digital revolution, Smith mentors students in the incorporation of cinematic principles into multimedia visual storytelling; his work recently won Best in Show in the S.T.E.A.M. category of the New Media Film Festival in Los Angeles.
Steve is fluent in digital storytelling, video, time-lapse, video interviews, aerial cinematography, audio gathering, and production. Steve specializes in creating short films with a journalistic feel and cinematic qualities.
